Description
Early (1939/40) 4-H Collectibles from Yamhill, Oregon: Hanging Felt Banner, Ribbons, Pins & Cards. Condition is "Used". See photos for details on condition & size. The banner is not perfect: the white is no longer white & there is some moth damage (the worst is visible in the photos). Note picture of wooden dowel showing split. I believe this piece is all original - banner, dowel, brass end caps & rope tassels. Bottom fringe is in great condition. Banner reads, "QUAKER MAID 4-H CLUB SECRETARY'S BOOK 1939". (2) Pins, read "Third Ore. & Third Oregon". 1st card is a Student Membership Card for Summer School at Oregon State College, June of 1940, for Virginia Hougham of McMinnville, OR. The 2nd card is a 4-H Club Achievement for the same student. Again, I encourage all bidders to look carefully at the photos & make inquiries prior to bidding. This item was found rolled up & I will ship it that way. The new owner can decide as to whether, or how, they choose to flatten the ribbons & cards.
