Deb Canham Molly & Jake First Club Piece June 2000-May 2001 MIB

Description

This is Deb Canham's First Club Piece Molly & Jake issued from June 2000-May 2001. Molly is 3.5 inches tall, fully jointed and Jake is 1.5 inches (including ears). Molly has a light blue
mohair body and tan mohair feet, paws and head with glass shoe button eyes and embroidered nose.  She is No. A1226 (my club number).
I owned a bear shop at the time and joined Deb's club so I could get the club pieces. I fell in love with her miniatures from the beginning. They are so well made.
Although made in China, they were made by a family that Deb met in China. She hired them  to make her bears and it supported the family. She would visit them and was just like one of their family. So, they weren't made in some factory by who knows who. They were lovingly made by several women in that family.
Molly & Jake were never on display. They have been kept in their box since they arrived in 2000. Never exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind.  They are new in their box.
