This is a unique and more discreet cremation urn necklace that holds the ashes of a lost loved one comfortingly close.
Paua shells are found exclusively in New Zealand and are a species of abalone but with more intense colors. They are sometimes called a "sea opal" or" marine opal" and the natural colors range from greens and pinks to purples and blues, with gold or crimson tones.
Handmade so no two are exactly alike, our sterling silver paua shell urn pendant will hold a small amount of human or pet cremation ashes, beach sand, Sacred Earth or dried ceremonial flowers, securely, and close to you… always.
Our paua cylinder urn itself measures approx. 1 and 3/8" long (from the top of the bail to the bottom) by 1/4" wide. The chamber inside is approx. 3/4" deep. The urn comes with a plastic bag to hold the precious contents. The top of this piece turns to open and can be easily lifted off.

in our store if you need help filling your new cremation jewelry. Once filled, we always recommend you apply a bit of epoxy or another gel type glue to securely seal your urn.
We include an 18" black satin cord – striking against the colors of the paua shell and shine of the sterling – so you can wear your precious ashes holder necklace right away, or give it as a thoughtful sympathy gift to someone in your life grieving a loss.
We don't recommend wearing your new sterling silver piece of ashes holder jewelry in the water. Sterling silver of this quality can be delicate, please avoid exposure of this piece to harsh chemicals of all kinds, and do not wear your jewelry doing heavy yard or housework, exercising or while working with paint or stain.
